About Dr. Alan Leonard

Dr. Leonard is a graduate of the New York Chiropractic College and the Northeast College of Health Sciences. Born and raised in Kingsport, TN, Dr. Leonard has returned to the Southern Appalachians after 20 years in the Finger Lakes region of upstate New York, where he attended chiropractic college, worked as a farmer, orchardist, and nurseryman, and taught undergraduate courses at Cornell University. Dr. Leonard graduated chiropractic college with numerous awards for leadership and academic achievement, with Honors in the science of Applied Clinical Nutrition, and with a variety of certifications including McKenzie Mechanical Diagnostic Therapy, MyoMatrix Release soft tissue technique, and Functional Integrated Acupuncture.

Dr. Leonard believes strongly in the power of chiropractic treatments to alleviate painful conditions of the back, neck, and extremities, and to positively impact an individual’s overall health. Prior to joining Tuck he provided chiropractic treatments to veterans at the nationally renowned Veterans Administration Hospital in Bath, NY, established in 1877.

Dr. Leonard is an avid hiker and lifelong outdoor enthusiast, an Eagle Scout with Bronze, Gold, and Silver Palms, and a member of the Troop 250 Order of the Arrow in the Sequoyah Council of the Boy Scouts of America.
