About Dr. Sam Hanson
Dr. Samuel Hanson is a native of Lynchburg, Virginia. He received his Bachelors Degree in
Dietetics and Human Nutrition, Foods, and Exercise from Virginia Tech. While attending
Palmer College of Chiropractic in Florida, he was a member of active and passive
rehabilitation clubs, and greatly enjoyed working with athletes of all ages. Dr. Hanson
graduated cum laude in 2025. Upon graduation, he moved to the Blacksburg area and
joined Tuck Chiropractic Clinic in 2026.
When Dr. Hanson’s grandfather was a young teenager, he was struck in the eye by a toy.
Infection set in and he completely lost vision in both of his eyes. His grandfather went on to
attend the school of the blind, progressed in his education, and eventually graduated from
Palmer College of Chiropractic in Iowa. Growing up he would hear stories about how his
grandfather went on to help people, which helped inspire Dr. Hanson to pursue a career as
a chiropractor.
Dr. Hanson enjoys hiking, fishing, photography, and being involved in his church.
